Nissan Pickup front fender

The side portion of a vehicle in front of the doors is referred to as a fender, while panel is the side portion behind the doors. Automobile's minor accidents are often caused by fender benders, since an impact to a vehicle's bumper often will bend the sheet metal at the edge of a fender. Front fender is indeed designed for protection. The Pickup fender skirt is a removable piece of sheet metal or a fiberglass that fills in the arch in a wheel well. This part must be removed, so that the wheel could be removed freely. Fender skirts were an option or it is a standard feature on some vintage vehicles.

A raised section that attaches to the side of a vehicle over a wheel extending the body is known as Fender flare. These Fender flares are often applied to off-road trucks. Fender flares can provide additional legal coverage when installing wider tires. This can also make a vehicle look more muscular in its physical appearance. Fenders are made up of plastic, urethane and sometimes of fiberglass. The protective covering for the front of pickup's bed, is termed as the bulkhead Front cover.

These are also known as bulkhead covers or protectors in some instances. Most manufacturer companies that make front covers also offer a matching tailgate protector. Both front covers and protectors are made from aluminum diamond plate or polyethylene or plastic.
